Cardiff St Colmcilles are very excited to announce that Liam O’Neill, Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael has confirmed his attendance in Cardiff on the 5th of April for the St Colmcilles Dinner Dance.

This year the annual event will be held at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff’s City centre. General Manager Phil Sheeran, who himself plays for the St Colmcilles commented “We are very much looking forward to hosting the dinner dance and having the club and its members here on such a great occasion, it should be a very enjoyable night, especially with the attendance of Uachtarán Liam O’Neill”.

Liam O’Neill confirmed his attendance after receiving a formal invite from Cardiff’s PRO Aidan Farrelly at the recent GAA Congress in Croke Park. Aidan, who is the Gloucestershire County Board Chairman, was in attendance as a delegate for the county board in the all important election to determine  who Liam O’Neill’s successor would be. Aidan was accompanied by the County’s Vice Chairman, Sean Roddy to see Aogan O’Fearghail elected.

President Liam was quick to accept the invitation and has stated his excitement at seeing exactly what work is being done in Cardiff and in the Gloucestershire County as a whole. The Gloucestershire championship has doubled in size in recent years with the number of clubs expanding from 3 to 6 currently. Cardiff have also done their fair share of work, establishing a ladies team, mens and ladies university teams and re-establishing an underage team.

For anyone interested in attending on the night, tickets can be bought from the club at a cost of £20. This will include a 3 course meal as well as some top musical entertainment on the night. A bargain! All are welcome!
