Cardiff St Colmcilles 0-11  St Judes Bournemouth 1-12

Cardiff failed to add to their still cooling County Senior Football title when they met St Judes of Bournemouth in the Gloucestershire League Final on Sunday the 9th of November. Cardiff were looking for an impressive double as they approached the game. However, it was not to be. St Judes have emerged as real contenders in Gloucestershire and introduced themselves with style as they edged out St Colmcilles in just their second competitive season.

Some great football was played in Sanatorium Road in Cardiff as both teams fought tooth and nail to etch their name on to the League trophy. Cardiff had spells of dominance throughout the game without ever taking it by the scuff of the neck as they struggled to find the vein of fluidity which is usually apparent in their better performances.

They did not reach the heights of earlier in the year and succumbed to a superior collective effort on the day. No doubt the St Colmcilles players and management will regroup and come back strong next year.

A big thank you to all of the players, management and supporters this year for your help and commitment throughout the year.
