Cardiff brought their involvement in the British Championship to an end at the quarter final stage, in earlier October with a difficult game against North London Shamrocks. The Cardiff panel travelled to Ruislip as underdogs having been drawn against the much fancied London champions.

North London Shamrocks got off to a good start and would not relinquish the lead. Despite a hard fought game, Cardiff could not seem to recapture the tenacity and precision that saw them regain their Gloucestershire County Football title.
